West Street Wine Bar

Purple Tooth Wine Bar in downtown Annapolis was a renovation of a former Fire Station along West Street. The renovation of the front facade kept the two hose drying towers and infilled the truck bay with a bank of storefront windows. The interior two-story space was preserved and accentuated by adding a spiral staircase around the fire pole which now leads to a “wine-tasting” loft. Dyed concrete floors and exposed interior brick walls reflect the historic urban context.
