Severn River

This shingle style home sits on a high bank overlooking the Severn River in Annapolis, Maryland. The home was designed for a family with four young boys to explore the joys of growing up on the water. The buildable footprint was a ribbon of land flanking a wooded slope, giving a narrow but long footprint. All rooms, except the playroom over the garage, and the basketball court in the basement, are pushed up against this waterfront setback and have views of the Severn River with ample natural daylight. A trellised terrace and covered porches give added shading to the outdoor rooms. This home was featured in the Spring 2018 issue of Annapolis Home magazine.
